KOMA, the first comic festival in Brno, presents contemporary comic production. Comic initiatives in Brno, KOMIXXX – Šaufenstr Gallery – Aargh! Magazine, join together to present different forms of comic and contemporary art as two interconnected worlds. KOMA Festival brings exhibitions, live painting, art installations, film screenings, workshops, comic book market, concerts, theatre, storytelling and many more.

The 4th International Comic Festival KOMA brings up the topics of Extinction and Endangered species. Endangerment is a term connected to objects and phenomenon that lie in the edge of extinction, society or any interest. The time running out be for the potential extinction point excite sour attention towards the uniqueness of certain species. KOMA focuses on the borderline interests, isolated and disappearing societies, habits, and tendencies. The theme builds on the exhibition of ToyBox (CZ) from 2011 which was held by the project KOMIXXX.
